The Motorola DROID MAXX is the successor to the Motorola DROID RAZR HD.

My charging port is busted. Can I replace the port?( Qi charger works)

I have a Droid MAXX that was handed to me by my mother as my first phone, but upon trying to charge it, it doesn’t appear. Looking very closely with my mother’s phone camera I am able to say that the Micro B “pins” are all yanked out of place. I tried fixing them with tweezers, but I made the problem worse. The good news is that the Qi wireless pad still works and I have a charger for it, but I would like to know if it is possible to desolder the old port and replace it with a new one?

Totally! Yes, soldering would be required, as the MAXX doesn’t have a removable daughterboard, but replacement ports are available. Good luck, and happy fixing!
