Logitech Z906 will not turn on?

Had the same issue with my z906. Visited a shop who took half an hour to replace a part that was used as a safeguard to protect the motherboard from overvoltage. He then said that he added an additional safeguard which looked like a small blue balloon, that if in future there is an overvoltage, only that part need to be replaced, and that will take only a few minutes.

I had the same experience: Logitech Z906 sound system shut down, no lights , no sound.

Tried all of the above. No cure.

Found this solution:

on the console press and hold ALL BUTTONS during several seconds.

Lights reappeared, sound emerged, as new (ofcourse this will only work if the sound system did not suffer physical damage....).

The solution described in that post is:

1. Turn on the Logitech Z906 (or ensure it has power).
2. On the control console, press and hold all of the buttons simultaneously for several seconds.
3. Release the buttons when the console resets.
4. If successful, the indicator lights should come back on and the sound should return.

This is essentially an undocumented reset that reportedly worked for that user when their Z906 had:

• No lights on the control console.
• No sound output.
• No apparent physical damage.

If this doesn't work, the problem is likely hardware-related (such as the power supply, amplifier board, control pod, or ribbon cable) rather than a software or settings issue.
