strange part found under battery

Hi. I’m replacing an iphone 5s battery following ifixit instructions and found a small transparent piece of plastic under the existing battery. Anyone know what it is and where it should go? thanks Chris

Hi,

Really don’t bother with that, it doesn’t look important, the phone can certainly work without it. I wouldn’t say the same with black adhesives on screen that are used as electrostatic shield though…
