Hi,

It might be as the chipset on the motherboard is an Intel H170 which supports an i7 7700T

The big problem is whether the original CPU is hard mounted on the motherboard or not and can be removed.

Here’s the ifixit Asus Zen AiO Pro Z240IC Motherboard Replacement guide. Unfortunately the image in Step.14 doesn’t show whether it is or not as the heatsink is still in position

Hi,

Looks like I didn’t scroll down far enough ;-) and also it looks like you’re right when looking at a close up image of the CPU

Just wondering if it would be worth it though looking at this

The real world speed test of 74.2% vs 72.4% is only a 1.8% difference, so will it be even noticeable?

I've found it from Asus Zen AiO Pro Z240IC Heat Sink Replacement, under Step 16.

It seems like the CPU is replaceable.
