Phone stuck on apple logo screen for 15 minutes

So my phone has been a giant problem for me. Thanks to low storage I have had all sorts of trouble with my phone, but I’m here to ask about my IPhone 5s (Or IPhone 5, not too sure) being stuck on the apple logo screen. Sometimes the logo disappears, but it mostly stays there. It has been around 15 minutes or more, and I have plugged it in as well. I searched for answers but all are vague. Is there a way to solve it without the chance of losing data? I have no idea if it is backed up, and I might not even be logged into ICloud. I have forgotten everything in my frenzied tears and panic. I am not in a position to ask for help, use a laptop, or call apple support. If there is something I can do alone risk free, I’m up for it. However, if I need any of those other three, would it be safe to leave it like this over night? I am honestly afraid, especially because my phone overheats while on charger. Any solutions?
