Why does sips keep failing

I have Samsung TV model UN55JU65000 FXZC. It is little over 4 years old. One day it suddenly shut itself off, and would not turn on, but standby light kept flashing. A TV repair tech said the SMPS has failed, and he said he has replaced it. TV worked fine for a month and then exactly same thing happened, perhaps SMPS failed again.

Why would this happen,? Is there something the repair tech is missing?

I would highly appreciate an opinion to guide the tech.

Thanks

Jagjit Khosla

Hi Jagjit Khosla

Other than power board, there is another component, which is the mainboard.

Just sharing my experience for my other samsung repairs, power board tested okay, as I had swapped with a known working one and the board also work.

Found out is the mainboard which one of the voltage regulator has failed which cause this not booting up.
