Trouble running SMS games on a Megadrive

So I tried connecting my Megadrive to the TV after sevral years and am using an odler version of Everdrive. MD games seem to be working fine, but any SMS game I try loses all sound after a second or two after running it, the screen changes colors at random and there are various artifacts. Is that a reason to do a recap or is there a different reason?
