iPad 6th gen (2018) hissing with screen on

Hi all.

So, i’ve got an iPad 2018, that’s got a “funny” issue. The iPad is hissing whenever the screen is turned on - no sound when turned off. I thought at first it had something to do with the battery and replaced that, no effect - then i tried the LCD-panel to no avail. I’ve further taken the iPad apart and inspected the mainboard itself under a microscope. Nothing looks off - and i’ve isolated the sound to one component. I do MB repairs, but never come across this issue. I’ve desoldered and reflown and soldered back on, it still hisses so my guess is that it’s defective. Now, my question is, i need to identify the IC so i can get a new, as i don’t have a donor-board at hand. Can anyone help me?

I’ve attached pictures of the board, and of the component location on the board, i hope it can give something - thanks in advance :)

All this troubleshooting is probably futile, as this probably isn’t a problem to begin with.

This is called inductor whine, present in many products. It’s not a malfunction if the device otherwise works normally.

This is not normal conductor whine - it's enrirely too loud, it sounds like I've got tinnitus, bad case if it at that and is enough to give a headache just looking at it - and it's really up to my customer to decide whether or not he wants it fixed, I'm just asking for clues which i guess is the point of this forum - so im afraid your reply is not helpful at all, as my customer wants to discard the unit, unless it's fixed..

Pointing out the economics or pragmatics of the repair sometimes does more than trying to fix any problem. Also this site is more like a DIY level repair site, professional repairs are not un-welcomed, but probably out of scope anyway.

I think I've seen a board diagram somewhere, but it's too late for me today.
