Can’t find the t-con on my TCL 55” - 55s423

Block Image

Where is the t-con located? Matched the model # and ordered the board. It doesn’t go anywhere and the back doesn’t appear to even have the t-con board.

It would make sense that it’s connected to the main. But it’s just connected to the thin board at the bottom. Including a pic of the t-con I ordered. BTW- Austin, Tex here!

I am having the same problem. Did you manage to repair it?

My 55s425 has the same skinny board..... i just replaced the LED strips and to my surprise it only had two rows of LED strips inside (a total of 4 sections) .... all the newer designs now have twice as many rows and a separate T-Con board ..... but they probably run a LOT cooler as a result.....

It was integrated. There are three different setups for this particular model. This is the version 5 setup. Main board contains the T-con.

@phonee the only place it can be is at the end of the ribbon cable from the main board. Take a couple of clear pictures of that board. If that is the LCD driver board (to far away and to unclear to determine this from this picture) then your T-con board is part of the main board. Post some good, clear, up close pictures.

From Austin here. See you’re from San Antonio. Howdy. I repair iPhones and this is new to me.

Hey. So it looks like image #3 shows the LCD driver board. Can you get a bit more from that particular board. If it is the LCD driver board that would mean your main board has an integrated T-con board. There just is no other place where it could be.

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

Just posted. It has to be integrated... Right?
