Camera is not capturing pictures?

Canon PowerShot G3

The Canon PowerShot G3 is a digital, point-and-shoot camera manufactured by cannon in 2002.

When trying to take a picture the counter doesn’t move and it is not capturing anything. There is no black screen either.
