How to replace display cable?

Hi, I got a MacBook 12” treated like like it was a gem. After 2 years it started to get problems with white screen when computer is in certain angles. I have contacted several repair centers all of them says you need to replace the whole LCD panel. Since screen works in certain angles I suspect it might be a defect display cable rather than a defect screen. Is there way to change the cable on the 2016 edition without replacing the whole screen?

Did you have any success? I am experiencing the same issue. But in my haste I snapped the IPD flex cable and need to replace that too.

There is no walkthrough online for replacing the display cable on this model as it is integrated into the display assembly. Repair would involve partially disassembling the display or soldering a new cable connection, both being difficult and risky. You can find videos online of folks working on similar models where they splice cables together or open up the displays to better access the cable. Not an easy repair, which is why everyone recommends replacing the display instead.
