Screen went blank and unresponsive after dropping

My phone got dropped face down on the floor. When I picked it up immediately, I could see there was no physical damage to the display but it started to fade and start losing the brightness, I tried to unlock it but it was unresponsive. It faded to a black screen and after restarting the phone the screen doesn’t even show the black screen anymore, it is just blank like not even turn on but the phone is working. I’m not sure if my screen is bad or something else is.

You will need to replace your screen as this is the most likely cause. If for some reason it doesn’t fix the problem you would start looking at the logic board and whether it is a no image problem or no backlight problem.

Thanks @imicrosoldering, I'm pretty sure the touch doesn't work and similarly, the backlight doesn't work either. But is it possible that just from a drop they both stop working together?

@saad7 If your phone is booting and there is no response from the screen you would have to presume the screen is faulty. A screen can fail altogether after a drop but it would be highly unlikely three circuits on the logic board have failed. If you wanted to check the backlight, image and touch circuit on the logic board you would need a multimeter to diode the connectors then compare the readings with a known good board.
