Trying to Install new SSD and I cannot clone from my current HD

1) I formatted my Crucial MX500 1TB SSD to Mac OS Extended

2) Shut Down Computer and went into Disk Utility Startup

3) Try and Restore SSD with Mac HD and only get error message

(OSStatus error 22)

Faulty SSD? Should I just return and try another drive?

MacBook Pro Late 2011 15”

Thanks for any help as this is obviously frustrating.

I would recommend cloning it with another program, like SuperDuper!. For me (at least) Disk Utility will have errors every time I try to clone a drive, which is why I prefer to use other programs.

I hope this will solve the issue.
