Where can I get Parts for a Lenovo 500e (81ES)

I’ve got a Lenovo 500e Chromebook (81ES) that won’t recognize power. I figured I’d replace the USB/charging daughter board but Lenovo won’t sell me parts. (Lenovo also won’t take money to repair it, nor provide me with a location that I can take/send it to for repair).

It’s a year and a half old and supposedly a rugged education model. I am not impressed with Lenovo. Where can I buy parts?

Same, just shy of 3 years old, was told they won't even sell parts to the authorized service center for out of warranty devices. $1600 Yoga 920 is now a useless hunk of junk. Will never buy anything from Lenovo again.

Go to p.39 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the USB board.

Search online for 5C50Q79756 to find suppliers of the USB board, that suit you.

If your laptop is a Lenovo Yoga 920-13IKB Type 80Y8 (check information label on the bottom of the laptop), then here’s a link to the parts

Click on Select Commodity and then select the part type to find the part number of the part. Then search for suppliers by using the part number.

Here’s the hardware maintenance manual that shows how to remove/replace the parts.
