washer spontaneously filled up with water and poured the excess onto b

I left the door to my washer open and 2 days after using it—the washer spontaneously filled up with water and poured the excess onto basement floor !!

Update (08/01/2020)

nothing will light up-- and yes -the machine is plugged in-- I have now unplugged it
