Back in 2014, I was using an lightning cable that I bought from the dollar store to charge my iPad Mini. It worked fine but one day I woke up & my iPad was warm. It wouldn’t turn on or charge. So I decided to leave it alone all day just incase it overheated or something. 6 years later it still won’t turn on. Does it need a battery replacement?

Was the wall plug also from the dollar store? If so, more than likely the charge ic was blown. It requires micro soldering and since it’s 6 years old, it’s probably not worth fixing.
