Won't turn on, no light, fan not running.

I've got a Black 2.4 GHz A1181 MacBook.

Its bezel, keyboard and battery had been previously replaced. It's been left a few years in a drawer and now doesn't turn on at all!

Battery doesn't charge, light at the front doesn't light up and the fan does not spin at all.

When mains is plugged in the charger LED goes from Green to Amber meaning that its trying to charge the battery, but it doesn't.

Any advice on what to try?

Have you tried simply removing the battery and just running it off the adapter? I’ve gotten some A1181s to power on this way.

Yep doesn't work, the only way to get it to work is to put a screwdriver or flat piece of metal over the power connectors to jump start it.
