I have a ZAGG - Invisible Shield HD Glass Screen Protector on my surface pro. Do I need to remove it before i disassemble it or will it help protect the screen while im removing it?

In my personal experience I always remove screen protectors because they tend to absorb more heat thus requiring more time and heat to remove the screen. Be very careful when you work on these things. Surface tablets are picky and are a pain to work on.

I totally agree. I always remove the screen protectors before I proceed.
