Having problems Mac from Lion to El Capitan

Hi,

Can anyone help me out,

When I tried to upgrade my mac from Lion to El Capitan, it came to an error and it didn’t complete the installation, but when I run the safe mode , it let me set up the Mac OS X El Capitan, when I went back to run the Normal mode its still in Installing Mac OS-X, what could be the Problem?
