Zebronics UPS not working.

My UPS,Zebronics ZEB-U725 UPS is not working when there is no main supply. If I switch it on when there is no main supply, momentarily voltage comes on its out put socket (Which can be seen by a volt meter only) then shuts down, even when load is not connected. I checked the battery voltage. It is about 11V. When I switch on the UPS the battery voltage comes slightly down ie it comes down to about 10.5V, then returns to 11V as the UPS shuts down. Please suggest solutions.

How long the UPS is in service?

Is the UPS still under warranty?

If so, send in for repairs.

else you need to check and inspect the internal main board .

Hi,

When power is connected there should be 13.8V across the battery terminals as this is the voltage necessary to maintain the battery fully charged.

When the power is disconnected and with no load, a good battery will measure 12V. If you only measured 11V then the battery may be failing.

Given that the voltage falls quickly to 10.5V under load, it seems to indicate this. The voltage may be falling even quicker and it gets below the minimum battery voltage threshold for the UPS, so it shuts down.

How old is the battery and how often and for how long is the UPS utilized due to power outages?

If there is approximately 13.8V across the battery terminals when the power is connected then perhaps you should try replacing the battery. Ensure that the replacement battery is fully charged, (unless you know that it is fully charged when you get it) and then check the UPS operation
