I have a 2008 yamaha 48v cart wont reverse

I have a 2008 yamaha cart that wont go in reverse. Reverse buzzer comes on but wont move. Drives fine in forward, Also cart started making a high pitched sound when tow switch is turned off. Ordered a forward reverse switch but thinking switch may be ok if reverse buzzer comes on.
