Laptop not turning on, but the quickplay button lights on.

My Dell Studio 14 does not turn on. when I pressed the power button, the quickplay button lights on for a few seconds and nothing happens after that. there are no sounds at all. is it related to motherboard failure??

Try to turn on your laptop without the battery on (only with the plug adaptor).

If this doesn't work, it is probably a hardware issue (although more inspection is needed before reaching this conclusion).
