Volume Button Flex Cable and Bracket installation guide

So I bought the Google Pixel 2 XL Power and Volume Button Flex Cable and Bracket from ifixit but couldn't find any detailed guides to do the same. My question being is removal of motherboard required to install this part? Or it can be slided out as is?

Hi there, I just did this last night. You should be able to use an iFixit pick to pry up the board a little bit and slide the bracket out. It is glue down, so you’ll have to slowly work at it a bit to get it out without breaking it.
