I have an iPhone 8 Plus that I got handed down from someone I had to replace the back glass but the rear camera was torn out and the flash was broken. I now have an old iPhone 7 Plus with a camera that works I was wondering if I could replace the missing iPhone 8 Plus with the iPhone 7 Plus camera, thank you for any help

No they are not compatible. The connector might fit but the circuitry is different.

So does that mean it just wouldn’t work at all or that it might work or that it might cause damage to the phone even if tried
This is late but I mean the iPhone se camera worked in the iPhone 8 after testing so as long as the pins match there’s no harm in doing it, might work

Haven’t done 7 plus in an 8 plus but I did a 7 in an 8 and it just got hot without working, so I’m saying no.
