FaceID problem, not detecting face
my iphone x opens the faceid setup but it doesnt register my face it just tells me to move the iphone higher/lower.. portrait mode on selfie camera doesnt work too it just tells me to go further but it puts a square around my face. animoji works perfectly, and the proximity sensor and autobrightness work great. can this problem be repaired? ive seen situations where it doesnt even want to launch the faceid setup and it just errors on the power on of iphone… mine is just this, any help? can it be repaired? thanks.

@hootonberg I think so, because when I check for the TrueTone display option, it is not available.

It was most likely replaced then. A special tool is needed to maintain truetone. Did you buy it used?

@hootonberg A sibling gave it to me. So recap: Animoji works only around those similar features, portrait mode on the selfie camera doesnt, however it puts a square around my face, FaceID setup launches but it just loops the message "Move your iPhone a little higher/lower" But when I get my face out of the picture, it recognizes that there is no face in there. Everything else on the phone works perfectly.
