Weird battery replacement issue

I recently replaced the battery on this Macbook pro. I could only get it to charge by placing the macbook on its side with the cover off. With battery disconnected I connect the mag safe make sure the light is on. If it isnt I Shift+Ctrl+Option for 20 seconds. Then push the battery connector in and the light turns orange and the Macbook automatically turns on. It sees the battery, it charges the battery. I can boot and reboot as many times as I want. But as soon as I disconnect the magsafe I have to repeat this whole procedure again. I have tried 2 chargers, 2 magesafe charge ports, 2 aftermarket batteries. Nothing seems to change. Logic board???

Where did you get your replacement batteries from?

Amazon, but one of them I tested in another Macbook and it works fine.
