The March 2015 update of Apple's 13" MacBook Pro Retina Display, model A1502, features fifth-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and introduces the Force Touch trackpad.

White Screen after LVDS swap

So I decided to replace my a1508’s tired old keyboard with a new one. Hours later… I put everything back together and power up… to black. Displayed on external monitor no problem. I power off and inspect the LVDS cable and a couple wires had become frayed at the clip at some point during the keyboard swap.

I order a replacement LVDS 2012-2015 cable, snap it in. Annnd.. WHITE. Brightness control works as does external monitor. Did SMC and PRAM reset. Checked all connections. Could it be a bad cable? The only other instance I found of this with someone’s logic board.

much obliged!
