Craftsman tractor pedal control rod
Today the pedal control popped off the rear transaxle I looked for schematics and couldn’t find the right part for the clip that holds it together. Can anyone help me out it’s model number 917.20391.9. I attached photos of where the rod connects. One with the rod and one without. Thank you!
It’s part 163 in the ground drive schematic that popped off…but I don’t see the clip listed anywhere. https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model/1...

Dis you ever figure this out? I have the exact same issue and can’t find a schematic that shows the clip size/style anywhere.

Not sure yet. On another site it was recommended to use a washer and a c-clip or an e-clip if you can’t get the C on (space is limited). So I ordered a variety of sizes and once they arrive I going to try that. I was able to measure the stud with a wrench and it seems like about a 5/16.

Hi @headbanger783 ,
Did you mean to say Craftsman 91720310?
If so is this the retainer clip part #160 that you’re after? (click on page C then on part #160).
If so, then searching for what the part looks like by using the part number 169484, shows that has been replaced by part number 596029401.
Hopefully I’ve got this right.

Thanks for looking. I need the clip for the other side of the rod. It attaches to a post on the top of the transaxle via some sort of clip (not cotter) and it’s not on any schematic anywhere…doesn’t make sense though…
