Came with Seagate Hard Drive, find 2TB replacement?

My Mid 2010 i3 3.2GB 21.5" iMac has a 1TB Seagate ST31000528AS. I have to replace HDD's with the same manufacturer for the thermal sensor, right?

Where can I find a Seagate 2TB HDD that I can swap out with the original?

Thanks in advance.

Yes you are correct this does need same manufacturer. I believe also it must be of the same series, which means you are going to want to find a drive to the tune of ST32######AS. I saw a few for reasonable prices on Newegg. I believe this is what you are looking for.

If you are having problems with your current hard drive it is still under warranty by Seagate.

Thank you for the reply, that explains what I need to know.

Nothing wrong with the current HDD, just need more space.

I'll pop over to Newegg and check it out.
