HELP!IsGM 700R4, 82-92 Transmission compatible with 93 2wd sierra 1500

Will the GM 700R4, 1982-1992 transmission work in my 1993, GMC Sierra 1500 (2wd)? I know from researching that 93 is when they switched from 4L60-4L60E.
