Sir, I have a dell vostro 1550 model laptop, it is completely dead, only 19 volt comes, no indicator is turned on, can there be a problem?

Is it posting, or doesn't it show anything?

It does sound like a voltage issues, I would up it to a higher level and see if it boots then.

Also check out other methods, firstly try with a new cable and see if it helps.

Have you tried it with the battery disconnected and just the power supply/charger plugged in?

Does that fix it? Then just defective battery.

No?

Then try resetting the BIOS by taking out the coin-cell battery, page 33 in manual, and then press the power button to discharge any power in computer. Should be 3 volts. Replace if lower.
