Mtd pro lawnmower wont move

I replaced the drive belt on my mtd pro. Lawn tractor 13at605h718… When i first started the mower and put it in gear it drove about 15 feet… Now it just sits there when i press the gas like the belt has come off but everything is still in tact

Do the driven wheels work when you manually turn the transmission input pulley with the belt removed?

No...I realized it wouldn't move because the gas pedal wouldn't come back to normal position... Someone said replace the belt...

There are actually two belts required to make that variable speed pulley type drive actually work. https://www.partstree.com/models/13at605...

Further if either is badly damaged or missing the drive won't work properly I expect. Earlier I thought it was a walk behind mower because I failed to read your question correctly. I recategorized your question to reflect that it is a rider type mower.
