Why does my 92 Eldo keep backfiring and running so bad?

I replace tps sensor but do not know how to adjust it, i think that this is causing my car to backfire also a lot of times the rpms will fluctuate from 1 to 4 like it is miss firing any suggestions i have been trying to figure it out for about 3 months i cant find a repair manual

The repair manual will not be a problem, the problem is where to start. I agree with mayer, get it hooked up to an analyzer and see what codes it gives you Autozone does it for free and if you live in CA I believe that Maaco does them
