How do I replace the earpads on the JBL E45BT?

Hi,

The material on my JBL E45BT earpads was damaged, so I decided I wanted to replace them. Without thinking, I tried to take off the earpad the way you’d do it on a normal pair of headphones, and then I found out the earpads don’t work that way. I ended up actually tearing the pleather cup because the cups were actually glued below the plastic. There seems to be a black plastic circle between the speaker and the earpad. So my question is, if I order replacement earpads, how would I replace them? I don’t want to continue prying or do anything else in case I accidentally break the housing.
