Can I replace my samsung galaxy j3 2017 screen with a j3 2016 screen

The title says it all, i want to replace a samsung galaxy j3 2017 screen with a 2016 screen, both screens are the same size and resolution so i dont see why it wouldnt fit. The only thing im not sure about is if the display ports on both devices are the same.
