MacBook A1181 not giving any signs of life.

Recently I got a macbook white 2006 late for free, because it is not working. When I plug in the charger nothing happens, even the charger is not lighting up. Before the led on the front lighted up but now no signs of life. Currently I have no ram and hard drive installed, I know it wouldn’t boot like this but should i buy ram and hdd like this? Is there any chance that it will boot? I appreciate every kind of advice.

You might have a money pit. First thing to do is ask previous owner for a history of the machine.

UPDATE

The first thing to check would be the magSafe Adapter. On the right hand side of this Wiki you will see the pin out. Test those first with a multimeter to see if you are even getting power to the unit.
