iFixit Toolkit cannot open Dell XPS 13 9350 battery

Device and repair information for the Dell XPS 13 laptop models 9343 and 9350, which were both released in 2015.

iFixit Toolkit cannot open Dell XPS 13 9350 battery

I have bought "iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit - Electronics, Smartphone, Computer & Tablet Repair Kit" in order to change my XPS 13 9350 battery.

I successfully open the bottom case and able to open 2 screws at the right part of the battery.

But I could not open the 2 screws on the left part of the battery (please see attached file with circle in red color). I have tried all head styles of iFixit, but none can open the screws.

Appreciate any help. Thanks

You don't seem to have uploaded an image so it's a little hard to tell, but according to the guide they should just be regular Phillips head screws. It's possible they got stripped if too much torque was applied, can you try uploading or linking an image again?

I have used all the head screw styles, but none of it match.

It's harder to tell for the one at the top but the bottom one is definitely stripped which is why you are probably having issues with it. But it is standard Phillips.

The chassis will probably flex a bit when trying to unscrew those screws so I would say put opposite pressure under the screw under the chassis with your hand and use a PH00 / J00 or larger screw tip. Smaller ones will just cause it to strip.

@cosmasaay - Can you take a tighter picture of the top Black screw.

It looks like a tri-point, you will likely need a Y0 or Y1 bit
