Hi my tv will sometimes come on with a picture and then go off. Sometimes it can take 4 attempts turning it on and off. Is it on its way out? Thank you

If it stays on (does the power light stay green?) and the sound is there but not the picture can you still see the menu screens if you operate the Menu button on the remote?
If the sound is there but not the picture, try shining a torch at an angle very close to the screen and check if you can detect an image at all. It will be very faint so try this is a darkened room.
If you can detect an image you may have a faulty inverter or power board
