Home button,3D touch and Touch ID

My iPhone 7 home button 3D Touch and Touch ID are not working. The screen isn’t even cracked at all but the phone fell a couple of times . It’s always showing unable to activate Touch ID . The touchscreen is working perfectly but 3D Touch isn’t

have you tried setting it up again in the settings? if your still having a problem then try check for any updates or resetting the phone before you attempt to open it up. It may be that something is dislodged inside or damaged.

It is failing. I suggest screen replacement

we fix phones here at work every day and I can say a screen replacement won't fix it so don't let anyone steal your money for one, the touch ID works through the home button flex which is completely separate and doesn't get replaced when you replace the screen, you can get cheap Chinese copies of the home button flex but they will only work as a button and you will have to input your passcode, it won't work with touch ID though if it is actually failing, apple are the only people who can replace and sync the home buttons for touch ID to work and not all the shops offer it unless you ask. I would try the solutions that apple offer on their website before you take anything apart.... if you do want it fixing if it is broken apple charge upwards of £300 here in the uk for it, it says this on the apple site and on this site if you look under the repair guides for home button/ touch ID :)

Yes try a screen replacement first. The above comment does not apply to the IPhone 7 series.

The home button flex is integrated into the screen so rule that out first.
