I can't get into a phone my friend gave me with her old google set up. I wanted to reset then reboot my LG M P450. But when I follow generic instructions it just brings up the S/N and MEID. What am I doing wrong?

Did you try a hard reset and check if that works?
You will need to know the your friend’s Google account password for the phone, to access the phone once the phone has been reset.

I did do the hard reset, but my friend is now working in another state. So I can't coordinate with her to put the ok in when I enter her email address and password. She still has to put the number in that shows up on my end. I tried the illustration to get into settings but it never shows the google emblem at the same time I am hitting home in the touch assistant part. Please help if you can. TY

You could try what is suggested in this link to see if reflashing the firmware resolves the problem.
No guarantees though as reading links attached to the first link in the page seems to suggest that this procedure may be only for Metro PCS and not T-Mobile phones
