Charging issues after screen replacement

So, replaced a screen on an iPhone X yesterday all went smooth except for the part where the screen didn't work enough to power the phone off, so as far as I could tell I just had to unplug the battery when I got into the phone. Everything else went great, got the phone back on all works as it should, next day, won't charge.
