Late 2008, Early 2009 MacBook Pro Ram Upgrade

I got this MacBook Pro from eBay, it came with no hard drive, no battery, and no ram. I upgraded it with an SSD and the battery has yet to come. I know the maximum ram for this machine is 8gb, but I wanted to know if it is possible to pass that and upgrade it to 16gb. Does anyone know if this is possible and how? Any help would be great, thanks!

The hardware isn’t capable of handling 16GB RAM. If that’s the amount you need for your work, you’ll have to go for a 2010 Core2Duo, the 2.4Ghz and the 2.6Ghz can handle up to 16GB.
