Tisha Colborne once the screen is black shine a flashlight beam at an angle against the screen. Let us know if you can make out shapes silhouettes etc. If so it is the backlight that has failed. If not it could be the main board. VErify that your TV is a RCA 22” DECK215R and use these guides to work on it RCA DECK215R HDTV
