Split screen with a double image.

I have a 55” Roku 4K TCL TV. The internal boards were changed by a qualified tech to repair a problem. Unfortunately, after the repair the TV is now stuck with a double image on the screen. It’s like the screen has been split down the middle and the images are identical on the left and right sides of the screen. This tv had all the internal boards changed by a qualified service tech to repair a problem, but he left me with this worst problem. He tried many times on the repair visit to use the remote to correct the issue with no success, and the tv has be reset to factory mode many times. Nothing has worked to help this issue.

Mr. Landry - any chance you ever found a solution to this problem? I have a TCL Roku 49" TV (49S405TABA) that would power up with the red-screen but would then just go to a black screen I replaced the main board and now she works great....EXCEPT, I have a double image, split down the middle of the screen. Any ideas? I've read about the t-con board but I didn't have this issue last time the tv worked fine. Perplexed...

John Landry  Double image etc. are commonly pointing to an issue with the t-con board or the main board. You need to start somewhere. “boards were changed by a qualified tech to repair a problem” what was the problem originally before this so called qualified tech replaced the board. You also need to let us know if you still have the old boards and if the replacement boards were new. remove the back from your TV and check all the cables etc. Post some good images of your boards and interconnect cables with your question. that way we can see what you see. I have a TCL 50S421 that has the double image. Kinda trippy, both sides (L+R) display the same image. Did replacing the T-Con board fix yours?

need to adjust the screen ID, look for an authorized technician, who will know how to enter the hidden menu to fix it.

TCL TV must have the same Main PCB part numbers or will not show the picture right.. even if the connectors will fit.

My Polystar 65 inches also had this issue when I changed the board...I called their office and they told me the code to press on the remote which helped and every since then the tv has been working perfectly fine
