The PowerBook G4 Titanium Series was initially announced at Steve Jobs' keynote at MacWorld Expo in January 2001.

logic boards interchangable?

I have the above machine with a defective logic board. I bought one on e bay and now am ready to install. The problem: the resident defective board is 400 Mhz and the one I bought is 500 Mhz. Will it work if I install it?

Yes you should be able to swap the logic boards between the 400/500/550/667MHz VGA models. But you cannot use the VGA series with the 667/800/867/1GHz DVI units.

I am replacing a PB G4 Titanium DVI 667mHz logic board with a 867mHz logic board. I also have been told that all of these DVI models except the 667 had a secondary fan, so I have ordered one of those fans, but don't have it yet. But the 887 that I have installed has no socket to plug the fan into, as far as I can see. The primary fan is plugged into a socket next to the fan itself, as was the 667 primary fan. My question is: Where does the secondary fan plug in? Please help me find the answer. Thanks, RHBernard@gmail.com
