An easy to use home Espresso machine created by Saeco and rebranded for Starbucks. This machine is excellent for every day espresso drinkers and has an excellent build and product life.

Don, I've got the same problem. Have completely disassembled the unit, cleaned and reassembled it (correctly). I'm thinking one of the thermostats is not registering correctly. Wondering if you've done any further work on yours. Ted

I have the same problem. Do not know what to do. Any help? Thanks.

This machine doesn't pump while in steam mode, which means all the steam you get is what was converted from the water that was already in the boiler. I would run hot water through the steam wand to make sure the boiler is as full as possible, then switch over to steam mode, making sure to wait until the machine indicates it's at steam temperature before opening the steam knob. If it's still only producing a little bit of steam then you could have calcium built up on your heating element, preventing it from reaching proper steam temp. A descale should take care of that.

Don and Rick - Boy, I wish I could be of more help. I've swapped out known good thermostats from another Barista and they did not "fix" the problem. I did not change both thermostats at the same time however so I'm not sure if perhaps both are bad. The thermostats in question show continuity though I don't know what their ohm range should be so again I don't know if they might be bad. Actually since I first posted this question / request I haven't had time to continue testing so this is all I can say at the moment. If either of you (or anybody else) has other ideas please pass them along. Thanks.
