I had a similar thing happen with my a6000 a while ago. You could opt to replace the outer housing, but depending on how well the tripod screw is lodged, it could be removable with no disassembly. I covered the bottom with painting tape and made a hole in the tape where the screw is is. I then used a small bolt about the size of the hole, put a small dab of glue on it, and let it set. Once it set for a long time and hardened, I simply twisted it out.
