It won’t read certain disks but others work fine?

I just got super Mario sunshine and Luigi’s mansion to go on a nostolgia trip, and the disks won’t read in the GameCube but run fine on the wii? Is there something wrong with the GC or am I going crazy, it reads other disks like Spyro; a hero’s tail and starfox: assault
