The Hp Notebook 15-ba018ds is a touchscreen capable laptop equipped with Windows 10 operating system. It is 16 x 10 x 3 inches when closed and weighs 4.83lbs.

Is the storage upgradable?

I want to place an SSD inside my laptop to make it run quicker. Is it possible to add an SSD or M.2 to this board?

The specs here state " Hard drive 2 TB 5400 rpm SATA" so ssd should be possible. No mention of M.2" though.

Hi,

Looking at the service manual for the laptop, taken from this webpage if you wish to insert a M.2 SSD rather than a sata SSD you’ll need to change the drive connector board in the laptop

Scroll to p.50-52 to view the HDD removal/connection procedure and to p.55-56 to view the M.2 SSD removal/connection procedure.

On p.56 you’ll find the part number for the M.2 SSD drive connector board.

If you wish to install a M.2 drive, search online for the M.2 SSD drive connector board using the part number only (850946-001) in the search term of your browser, you’ll get results for suppliers of the part
