The HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw is a color laser printer with scan and copy functions. It has a model number: B3Q11A

Where does small black plastic fuse holder on the fuser assembly go

I had to take apart the fuser unit on my LaserJet Pro M477 to remove a bad paper jam. In doing so a small 1” black piece of plastic fell out containing what appears to be a fuse (looks a little like a thick SD card). I can’t figure out where it goes. I dont see anything that the contacts on the fuse cartridge would connect to.

Any help (or a picture) on where this goes would be appreciated.

Below is a picture of the part. I believe the blue component inside it is a fuse.

Aprox dimensions are 1” x .75”

Might want to add a pic to your query so that the component in question can be identified easier.

May I know how did you take apart the fuser unit? I think I have some paper stuck inside the printer at rear area where the fuser unit is blocking and it's impossible to reach inside with my fingers... I don't really know how to go about removing the fuser unit so I hope you can help me somehow.

Sounds like the Duplex Model. That’s #6 in the upper left hand corner of this parts diagram, and it goes into the fuser:
